Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I’ve heard from quite a few of you over the last few days, letting me know that you’re enjoying the site and looking forward to the last three books. I’m so appreciative! I’m already getting more traffic than I was honestly expecting to ever get, and there’s a steady upward trend, which is so flattering. I’ve really been enjoying working on it.

Today I think it’s time to stop the wait and plow ahead with the first chapter of book five. I have to confess that I wasn’t really looking forward much to this book; next to book two it’s my least favorite to read, and there’s less artwork for it than for the last two books (there’s a lot of common room and classroom time in this one, where the next two are far more dramatic that way). But as I’ve been writing it, I’ve really been enjoying it, and actually found both the artwork and the commentary to be a step above those in the previous books. So I hope you feel the same way.

With that, let’s dive in!
