Order of the Phoenix, Chapter Eleven

I think if I had to choose one word to describe this book, “ominous” would be it. We get to a point in this chapter where it feels like every other paragraph is a bad sign of things to come. Of course, in a few more chapters we’ll get to a point where it feels like every other paragraph is another bad thing happening, so perhaps it’s not entirely inappropriate. ;) But the style is so different from the other books; I wonder sometimes what it was that Rowling did differently on this book, and why she decided to write it that way? Or, for that matter, why she decided to switch again on the next one?

At any rate, here goes the ominousity (ominousness?):
