When I was first pulling my artwork collection together and ordering it by chapter, I fretted for a long time over the fact that I had no pictures from Vernon Dursley’s day at the beginning of the first book – and how could I tell the story of the books in pictures if I had nothing from the first, crucial scene? Then, while searching through dA, I found gerre, whose picture of Vernon and the wizard is brilliant, and a perfect beginning to the HPC. The rest of her artwork didn’t disappoint, either, and in fact was something of a treasure trove of pictures I’d been wishing I had (and all so well done, on top of it!). Since then, she’s also posted a series in which she drew every one of the twenty scenes from The Prince’s Tale – it’s definitely worth checking out.

Yours is my favourite Hagrid in “Rubeus Hagrid”. And I love how you draw Harry properly scruffy.

I really like you take on the Hogwarts robes. Granted, when I read the books the last couple times, I always pictured them like in the films (even prior to seeing the films), but upon reading again this time around, yours were the robes I saw, and probably will be for a long time. I especially like the girl’s robes with the grey arms. Besides that, my favorite of your drawings is the one of Ginny and Harry in the Chamber.
