Sayurikemiko

Sayurikemiko is another artist whose work gets more and more prescient as the books themselves get darker and darker. She draws a lot of Snape, but I think my favorite thing about her work isn’t so much the characters (though they’re great) as her use of shadows. Sometimes the shadows are literal, such as when the Advance Guard comes to rescue Harry in a dark house, and other times they’re more figurative as Harry and the wizards around him fight the darkness that threatens their world. But it’s beautiful work, and I’m very pleased to include it here.

About the Artist

I am currently a student at Massart. I enjoy drawing scenes from my favorite books, good music, and tea.
