Wacca

I absolutely love Wacca’s drawings, for so many reasons. But I think my favorite aspect of them is the way they capture Harry’s happiness. It’s a little hard to describe, but there are so many moments – like when he thinks he’s going to live with Sirius, or reading Sirius’s letter, or hanging out with Ron – when Harry feels truly happy, and yet because of who he is and what he has to deal with and the childhood he’s had, there’s a certain sadness still embedded within him, too. I’ve never seen someone who captures that the way Wacca does, and when you mix it with a very unique, stylized look, it makes for a fantastic addition to the Companion.
