Harry Potter Off Camera
Taking a step beyond the Harry Potter stories themselves, the artwork here depicts scenes we *didn’t* read about, from mundane nights in the common room to Harry and Ginny’s wedding. These drawings extend the stories and bring the characters to life in a whole new way. Of course we don’t know things happened exactly like this… but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to imagine they did!
Deborah Hubbard, don’t worry – it will come. You’ll just have to be patient, as I’m planning on posting these chronologically with the chapter pages, so it will be a while. It’s actually one of the pages I’m most looking forward to creating. :)
I’m looking forewards to the “Off camera” before the books. Because you hear about some incidents like Aunt Marge’s horribly vivid visits or Sirius being sent to Azkaban without a trial or Harry shrinking that awful sweater Aunt Petunia tried to make him wear.
Thanks Line Bech! I’m planning to make one, I just have to finish getting through the regular Deathly Hallows pages first. I’m actually expecting to post quite a few new Off Camera pages after that. :)
John- am I missing a way to subscribe to an rss feed for comments without leaving a comment on every post and checking the notify me box? Sometimes I really have nothing to add but would enjoy following the dialog without opening the page to check manually.
ann, unfortunately I think the only way to do it is to leave a comment on each post you want to subscribe to. Sorry it’s not more convenient than that. If you like, you can just write something along the lines of “please delete this” and I’ll gladly oblige, it’s not difficult on my end.
I’m kind of surprised there weren’t that many drawings of the three during the nostalgic days. For me they seemed the most interesting. I would have liked to see maybe one after Ron had left. It seemed like such an important part of his and hermione’s relationship. I found myself obsessing over this time more than once. Hah. I guess I would feel better if I knew I wasn’t the only one haha
Really loving these! I, too, have often imagined what goes on “behind the scenes”, as it were. Thanks for an incredibly entertaining and thought-provoking website!
Hi Dalida – One of the challenges I have with this section is that there isn’t a huge amount of artwork that fits in this category, much less *good* artwork. :) So I’ve chosen just to organize things by time periods, and any Death Eater scenes will just be mixed in. However, I may one day create a Character Portraits page for the Death Eaters, so that’s probably a better one to look out for. Thanks!
Dare we hope for an Off Camera: After the Books section? I’d love to see Mr and Mrs Draco Malfoy and little Scorpius!

Dirigible Plum47, you bet we will. Not until after I finish writing the book seven chapters, though. ;)

I love this site! I was wondering whether you’d make an off-camera about Deathly Hallows too?

Hi john this is just a suggestion you don’t have to do this but can you do an off camera with the death eaters?:)

When do you think you’re going to do the After the Books off camera?
